White Wall Cinema's Socially Distanced Autumn Screen presents
THURSDAY OCTOBER 22ND
Written by the masterful Coen brothers (Fargo, The Big Lebowkski, O Brother Where Art Tho?, No Country For Old Men) Suburbicon is the latest effort by deeply underrated director George Clooney in this sneakily entertaining and unique take on the darkness that lies behind the white picket fences of suburban 50s America. Tonally unusual it has a typically enthralling murder mystery plot by the Coens that sits alongside a critique of suburban social norms. Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Issac star in this lively, cleverly designed whimsical noir / black comedy thriller that shows Clooney is one of the few Hollywood directors willing to experiment with classic cinematic formats. This film is part of the Thriller Thursdays season!
