|| What is secret movie club? ||

Our "Secret Movie Club" project takes a movie you most likely haven't seen before (but will instantly love) and keeps the identity of the movie a secret, only revealing which film you are watching when the opening credits roll. The aim is to provide you with a brilliant forgotten or overlooked gem from cinema's past or present (or perhaps even a major, but lesser screened cult classic). Every time we do these events we get such phenomenal feedback from you guys. It's incredibly rewarding to have people say to us they had never even heard of the movie we screened for them, but that it is now instantly among their favourites!

|| Good Vs Evil ||

For this Secret Movie Club we investigate the timeless themes of good and evil through an unlikely lens. This special screening of a rarely seen film concentrates on a recent time in American history that we are only just beginning to understand and offers a microcosm of the modern cultural landscape. Once dubbed one of the greatest movies ever in its genre by The Wall Street Journal, our mystery movie for May is all at once as bizarre as Kafka, and as tragic as Shakespeare, yet still offers the urgency, excitement and fun of even the most vibrant elements of American pop culture. The optional post film discussion group offers a chance to dive even further into what is an endlessly fascinating film both in its subject matter and themes.
